MolYsis™ comprises kits for the targeted isolation of DNA from pathogenic bacteria present in clinical specimens. The MolYsis kits are used for the diagnosis of pathogens from all sorts of body liquids, including whole blood, cerebrospinal fluid, synovial aspirates, bronchoalveolar lavage and peritoneal liquid. MolYsis treatment of samples removes host DNA and inhibitors thus increasing the analytical sensitivity and specificity of PCR detection assays, in particular universal PCR/Real-Time PCR assays as supplied by Molzym, MolTaq 16S and Mastermix 16S.
